Outragous. Barely managing with the bins we have, now they’re halving it!!! Oh but they love taking their council tax…what for i have no idea cause this town stinks to high heaven.

Wors Road quality. Condition of the roads are like that from years. But no one taking any notice. That’s why moter mechanic’s of reading are very busy. READING Council should pay us for damaging our vehicle’s Or should reduce the road tax because of keeping bad road quality.

Reading Borough Council is the worst Council Ripp people off through the Dodgy Bus lanes enforcement and very tricky Parking Enforcement. Not enough signs to let people know. Iƒ??ve been to visit the area. Never come back there!

If I could score it less I wouldn’t hesitate. Staff have no compassion, are ignorant and unhelpful. Absolutely shocking service. Could learn an awful lot from West Berks on how a council should be run and how your staff should speak to people.

Shameful council, possibly one of the worst inhumane and miserable councils to deal with in the UK. They won’t hesitate to issue you with a PCN even when you display a valid resident visitors permit, and then will deny your appeal for no good reason. Reading council is an embarrassment to the UK.

I called with a refuse request requiring plaster board disposal. The lady receptionist could not have been more helpful.

Parking Permit Process – I’m really impressed with the process to get a parking permit that we desperately needed when we visit our elderly/house bound relatives in Caversham. The helpline have been helpful and guiding us to the right pass to apply for and options for paperwork they need but we didn’t have. Excellent service

I’ve always had my issues resolved, resources aren’t unlimited and as I understand they can be stretched with these guys, you just need a little patience

Couldnt run a bath, disgraceful waste of tax payers money, bring back the County Council. The new online payment system for council tax, doesnt work, looks like it was designed in the early 90’s by a 10 year old.

This must be one of the most unfriendly sites. Where can you find the wate calendars not only for waste but garden waste? You go to where the information is but all you get is post code, address then nothing.

Dont try to park here if you are visiting the oracle or nearby. The car park spaces are PRIVATE and for the councils employees only.

Overpriced council. Reading Council tax and council services are severely overpriced. Will look to move out of the reading borough. I find them to be very greedy! But yet don’t provide the services to match.

shame cant put less than 1 star, customer service doesnt have a direct route, so all noreply emails, they close forms submissions (cases) without communication, are genreally sub par in general with services (but make a fortune on parking!)

RBC is a big organisation and your experience will be determined by which part of the organisation you contact. Some parts of RBC are actually reasonably efficient. I deal with reception and the duty planning officers quite often at Reading council and I am always surprised that they go the extra mile to help. I’ve dealt with many other councils across England and Reading are truly a great team. Thank you for all of your help!

At the council it self the service is very slow. Long queue to get a ticket to the right department. The website is useless no relevant phone numbers available to call. Only general information about services

While there are a few helpful people at Reading Borough Council, the overwhelming majority are useless. Rude, impolite, clueless and reluctant to take any action. Only engage with this council if you have the stomach to follow it up with repeated emails and phone calls. Shame.

I went to civic office to pay for my new permit and the customer service I received was dreadful. They have a poor attitude and bad manners, wanting to get through service users quickly rather than ensuring each individual leaves satisfied with the service.

Parking permit lost in the post. Called to explain the situation. Was told I needed to email in. Why have a call centre if they will only deal by email. Rude agent put the phone down on me before telling he was going to do so!!!!
